JOA is closely monitoring the major transboundary flood that has caused mass casualties and severe damage in several districts in Northern Nepal. Update 01/09/2026: The Jersey Overseas Aid Commission has approved £200,000 in emergency funding to the British Red Cross to support relief and recovery efforts for affected communities. Jersey Overseas Aid is managed by a small team of professional staff and governed by a Commission, which is appointed by the States of Jersey (the Island’s elected parliament) and Chaired by Jersey’s Minister for International Development.
